STORY TELLING

Children have an innate love for stories. Stories create magic and a sense of wonder. Stories teach us about life, about ourselves and about others. Storytelling is a unique way for students to develop an understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures and can promote a positive attitude to people from different lands, races and religions.

Other benefits of storytelling:

  • Enhances listening skills
  • Encourages active participation
  • Promotes a feeling of well-being and relaxed
  • Increases children's willingness to communicate thoughts and feelings
  • Increases verbal proficiency
  • Encourages use of imagination and creativity
  • Encourages cooperation between students

Apart from regular story telling in the class, Max Muller High School has incorporated professional story telling into its curriculum we have a weekly "AJJI KATHE" session for the primary classes by renowned theatre artistes and professional story tellers.
